About

StoreMe is a service for finding and reserving luggage storage. The main idea of StoreMe is to give customers the opportunity to leave their luggage in a safe place, in a convenient for them location. You do not need to go to the airport or carry all things with you – check in on the website or in the StoreMe app and leave your luggage anywhere in the city. Travel, visit events, and walk around the town without worrying about your things! The service also allows you to register as a host, place customers’ luggage in your cafe or hotel, and earn on it.

Challenges

The New Line Technologies team was challenged with developing a web version of the previously developed mobile application, which should be adaptive and support the same features as the mobile application. Main tasks:

• integrate the API between mobile and web versions
• improve mobile version functionality
• Implement signup with Facebook and Apple accounts.
• improve Push-notification system

Solutions

We have developed a website with a common approach and the following functionalities:

• added a feature of authorization through the account of the social network Facebook and Apple ID
• developed personal account (contact details, active reserves, photos of luggage, promotional codes)
• integrated search widget for reservation by country/city and storage time.

• website and mobile app integrated with Google Maps
• added an auxiliary contextual element in the form of a feedback widget, necessary for the client to reach out to support.
• integrated Stripe payment system for secure online payments for Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit and debit cards
• opportunity to use promo codes
• added interactive calendar (datepicker) to select reserve time frames
• added a subscription form to the newsletter.
• possibility to send a request for baggage placement, choose the location and expected weight of the placed baggage.

One of the characteristics of the project is that the administrative panel is implemented using ForestAdmin. This reduced the development time of the Back-office. The whole system consists of several modules:

• Customer website developed with React.
• Customer website for hosts, developed with React.
• API for mobile app, Back-office, and Host website is developed with NodeJs
• Mobile applications (iOS) developed with ReactNative

Results

As part of the project, the New Line Technologies team developed a complete website and implemented mobile app functionality. StoreMe allows you to reserve your baggage in advance, releasing your customers from inconvenience. The New Line Technologies team continues to implement and support the mobile application. Adding a two-factor Apple ID authentication feature as an additional level of account security is in the process.
